The Laboratory Technician shall perform the duties set out in the Job Description below. The Laboratory Technician also agrees to perform other duties as can be reasonably expected and as directed by the Head of Faculty (Science).Ordering and maintaining adequate stocks of laboratory materials and resources, working with delegated budget.Liaising with academic staff to discuss timetables, materials and resource requirements and work plansRunning trials of experiments prior to classes and then demonstrating techniques for experimentsPreparing equipment, chemicals and other resources before lessons - from glassware to microscopes and other equipmentMaintaining and repairing equipment and laboratory apparatus;Keeping record for students' practical sessions, tracking methods, results, etc;Ensuring that glassware and equipment are properly cleaned and that chemicals, drugs and other materials are appropriately classified and storedSupporting the work of teachers in laboratory sessions and giving technical advice to staff and studentsWorking with individual students and supporting them on research projectsManaging the stock control of chemicals, equipment and other resourcesEnsuring that all health and safety procedures are understood and followed correctlyCoordinating work in the laboratory to ensure efficient use is made of expensive pieces of equipment.Support teachers in the preparation of teaching resources and materials, and support of lessons where applicable.Support the pastoral system of the School by contributing as a student Tutor if required.Contribute to the wider life of the School by participating in – or organising – extra curricular activities.Candidate profile:Colleague or above degree.Science major or related disciplines.Good command of English and ability of communication with foreign colleagues.Teaching experience or relevant work in a laboratory is preferred.Ability of independent accomplishing a job.Perspective ability，use the correct methods deal with all kinds of cases 职能类别：化工实验室研究员/技术员 关键字：实验室管理员生物物理化学
